It was a big day for me as Glitnir signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LNJ Bhilwara Group in India yesterday. I signed the agreement for Glitnir in the presence of HE P Chidambaram, Finance Minister of India and HE Arni Mathieson, Finance Minister of Iceland. We have agreed to jointly explore Geothermal sources in India to develop a pilot project to do district heating or develop a plant with 1MW to 5MW capacity. If we are successful, this will be the first Geothermal power plant in India.
